Details: Inspired by their studies with Nikolaus Harnoncourt in Salzburg, Estampie, along with Michael Popp, Sigi Hausen, and Ernst Schwindl, began exploring medieval music. In the following years, the band, starting from a relatively conventional early phase, began to experiment a number of times, eventually opening itself up to new influences and trends. The focus is always on Sigi Hausen's brilliant voice and the excellent instrumental skills of Michael Popp, Ernst Schwindl, and the rest.
