Details: The sky is the limit? Not for retired balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who at the age of 78 wants to fulfill his life's dream: a trip to the Amazon region. In no time at all, the sprightly pensioner attaches thousands of balloons to his little house and floats off into the sky. Carl realizes too late that he has a stowaway on board: the eight-year-old Boy Scout boy Russell. The eccentric pensioner has no choice but to take the chatterbox along on the big trip, which turns the old man and the bright boy into a close-knit team.
